Midawarr | Harvest features artworks by Yolgnu elder Mulkun Wirrpanda and landscape painter John Wolseley, who documented the plants of north-east Arnhem Land in bark paintings, larrakitj (decorated memorial poles), prints and a monumental watercolour and mixed media painting.
Midawarr means ?harvest? in the Yol?u matha (language) of north-east Arnhem Land. The Midawarr works were donated to the National Museum of Australia by
Wayne and Vicki McGeoch, through the Australian Government's Cultural Gifts Program. Many of the works were on show in the Midawarr | Harvest exhibition in Canberra from 23 Novemeber 2017 until 18 February 2018.
