Physical description

A sepia toned photograph of E.R. Mayne practising batting in the nets at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. In the background behind a picket fence there is a crowd watching. The photograph has been mounted on a bone coloured mount which has yellowed over time. Mayne is only wearing one batting glove. On the back of the photo is text written in pencil that reads "E.R. MAYNE VICTORIA PRACTICING FOR THE MATCH ENGLAND VS VICTORIA NOV 1920 / MELBOURNE CRICKET GROUND"
