Object information

Physical description

A Scintrex DHP-4 electromagnetic drill hole probe in a transit case. The instrument is comprised of separate components; two units with metal cases, a pair of earphones, and cables. Of the two units, one has a dark grey case with a hinged lid and handle, and features a circular metal gauge and a 'DC MICROAMPERES' gauge. The other has a light grey case with a black plastic handle at the top and features two gauges on the front face for 'AMPERES' and 'VOLTS' and vents on the side panels. The transit case is made of plywood with reinforced metal edges, is painted grey, and has two handles on the sides, and a lift off lid with two clasps. The interior of the case is fitted with custom compartments and packing for the instrument. The external surfaces of the transit case feature stencilled and handwritten labels.
